Join this internationally recognised leader in education and training in an exciting new BI team created to progress the organsisations Business Intelligence objectives.
In this role you will have the opportunity to affect change right from the start. You will have the backing of the Business Intelligence Director as well as the support of your team and you will play a key role in providing a business perspective on the requirements for the enterprise data warehouse. In this role, you will enjoy contact with a diverse range of staff including senior management, data custodians and Business Objects users.
You can expect to be focused on driving the business forward as this is not a technology driven role. The enterprise architecture will relate to systems, applications and information and you will help to translate business requirements for data and information into a coherent suite of corporate reports in order to support effective decision-making.
There will be a strong working relationship with ICT to provide a business perspective on the requirements for the enterprise data warehouse as well as working with senior management, data custodians and Business Objects users.
To apply for this role you will need to demonstrate the following requirements;
- Sound working knowledge of higher education data sets
- A postgraduate qualification and extensive relevant experience experience and expertise in the provision of strategic policy advice
- Ability to design, build and test Business Objects Universes and engage in the conceptualisation, development and deployment of corporate reports
- Knowledge and experience in the use of Business Objects and related systems to extract and analyse data including presentation in an easily understood form
- A high level of analytical and problem solving skills and the ability to solve complex problems
- Demonstrated ability to translate various user communities’ information requirements into appropriately configured solutions and to interact with end users and technical staff in meaningful ways
- Proven ability in results-focused leadership and management of staff
To be successful in this role you will have strong communication and relationship management skills, with a comprehensive knowledge of business practices. You will enjoying leading a team of people and passion to drive organisational change. In addition it is desirable to have a proven track record in a leading BI projects.
