Database Administrator

Large Federal Government department has a requirement for a Database Administrator for an initial 6 months contract, but likely to be extended.

Role Description:

The Database Administrator would be responsible for maintenance of existing SAP systems. Core Deliverables are -

Maintaining, monitoring and performance tuning of the existing SAP systems to ensure that they are running smoothly, and resolving Basis technical issues or problems as they arise;

Providing SAP Basis support to SAP development including applying SAP notes or patches if the need arises;

Work in a team environment; and

Record and maintain files/information in accordance with requirements

Experience / Qualifications required for the Role are:

Minimum of 2 years SAP Basis experience with enterprise level SAP systems

Certification in SAP Basis is desirable

Experience implementing and supporting SAP on Windows and Oracle is highly desirable

Oracle DBA experience is desirable

Due to security clearance requirements for this role, candidates must be Australian Citizens who currently hold or are able to gain an Australian Government security clearance
