This is a Leadership role with a difference.

As DevOps Lead in this newly created role with this start-up, you will bring a genuine understanding that this is an evolving role. You will also bring a passion and commitment to developing the Agile practice, Technical Design and Delivery capabilities and the nurturing and development of your team as individuals as well as a group.

The right candidate will bring with them exceptional communications and relationship management skills along with the capability to (i) seamlessly manage various business needs, (ii) lead a currently small yet strong team of Technical / Machine Learning Developers & Devops engineers, as well as (iii) utilise your own development capabilities in Python.

To be successful you will bring with you:

  • Extensive experience in developing Digital Applications and Solutions
  • A background in software development and engineering with a range of programming languages, including Python, Typescript, GraphQL
  • Strong DevOps experience with 3+ years of AWS and leading in a CI/CD environment including automation
  • An understanding of Machine Learning theory, frameworks and practice (e.g. unsupervised algorithms and clustering; TensorFlow or Pytorch)
  • Experienced in working within Agile delivery environments, as well as with tools such as JIRA, Confluence and automated testing languages such as Cucumber.
  • Experienced in contributing to improving the capability of the wider engineering community through coaching, mentoring, up-skilling sessions
  • Exceptional communications & interpersonal skills, which includes listening skills.
  • Able to consult to various parts of the business and manage stakeholders across various parts of the business
  • Previous experience in managing Partner relationships at the commercial, relationship and account levels would be beneficial.
