Our client is an esteemed consultancy firm who specialise in providing services to governmental customers. As a result of continued success, the fast-growing organisation is on the hunt for a proven Business Manager. This Canberra based position is on a permanent basis and will see you support the Program Delivery Practice.

About the Opportunity

This exciting role offers you the chance to grow in a multitude of areas; particularly focused around business development, account management and resourcing to the team. More specifically, you will:

  • Optimise resource planning and information management processes to assist the Leadership Team with decision making and forward planning
  • Support the co-ordination of BD activities, mainly including; business planning, panel/contract management, preparation of proposals/case studies and qualification meetings
  • Work closely with the Program Delivery Leadership Team to support Account Management and Strategic Planning activities
  • Drive the marketing and communication activities of the firm
  • Work closely with the Program Delivery Leadership Team to coordinate the resourcing and recruitment requirements for current and future engagements
  • Manage the implementation of organisation wide initiatives
  • Work with other BM's in coordinating firm-wide processes such as Tender Management

About You

You possess a positive 'can do' attitude paired with excellent communication and strong relationship building skills. Additionally, you have:

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role within a consulting firm
  • An understanding/genuine interest in Project Management and Change Management
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications
  • A strong customer service mindset
  • Exemplary proficiency in Microsoft Office products
  • An exceptional level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong planning and coordination skills
  • The ability/willingness to learn and develop new skills

Due to the nature of the work, minimum of a current Baseline Security Clearance is mandatory. The successful candidate will need to be able to upgrade to NV1 post commencement.
