Overview: We are seeking a seasoned Cyber Architect to lead the development of secure architectures for complex solutions within Federal Government. As a pivotal member of the team, you will play a critical role in ensuring that solutions are resilient against cyber threats, align with regulatory requirements, and adhere to industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Architectural Development: Lead the development of secure architectures for complex solutions, ensuring alignment with cybersecurity requirements and strategic objectives. Employ your expertise in cybersecurity to design robust, resilient, and compliant solutions that mitigate risks and protect sensitive information.

  2. Policy and Principle Establishment: Establish policies, principles, and best practices for the selection of cybersecurity components and controls. Define standards and guidelines to ensure that architectural decisions align with cybersecurity frameworks, regulations, and industry standards.

  3. Risk Management: Manage cybersecurity risks and vulnerabilities by assessing threats, identifying weaknesses, and implementing appropriate controls. Balance security requirements with business objectives and operational needs to optimize risk mitigation strategies.

  4. Stakeholder Communication: Effectively communicate proposed cybersecurity decisions to stakeholders, including technical teams, executive leadership, and regulatory bodies. Collaborate with stakeholders to address security concerns, gain buy-in for security initiatives, and foster a culture of cybersecurity awareness.

  5. Coordination and Management: Coordinate and manage cybersecurity architecture across multiple projects or initiatives. Ensure that security controls are integrated seamlessly into the overall solution architecture and that security requirements are consistently applied throughout the development lifecycle.

  6. Compliance and Governance: Ensure compliance with relevant cybersecurity regulations, standards, and frameworks. Monitor changes in regulatory requirements and industry trends to proactively adapt security controls and practices to evolving threats and compliance requirements.

  7. Incident Response and Recovery: Develop and maintain incident response plans and procedures to effectively detect, respond to, and recover from cybersecurity incidents. Collaborate with incident response teams to investigate security breaches, mitigate impacts, and prevent future incidents.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Cyber Architect or a similar role, with a focus on designing secure solutions and mitigating cyber risks.
  • In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity principles, practices, technologies, and frameworks.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, NIST, ISO 27001).
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to convey complex cybersecurity concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Experience in coordinating and managing cybersecurity initiatives across diverse teams and projects.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CCSP, CEH) are highly desirable.
