Our client is currently looking for an information security management system (ISMS) specialist to minimise risk and ensure business continuity by pro-actively limiting the impact of a security breach. This role is to support implementation of an ISMS across the business, referencing organisational and government standards and industry best practice.

You must have direct experience in the implementation of an ISMS in a complex medium to large organisation and be well versed in industry best practice and government security standards and accreditation.

What You Will Be Doing:

• Support the implementation of an Information Security Management System (ISMS), ensuring work delivered to quality, organisational and government standards
• Review and analyse large amounts of information and develop a filing structure to effectively support the ISMS implementation
• Contribute to accurate and relevant committee papers, briefings, and reports including analysis and recommendations on ISMS-relevant activities and initiatives to internal and external stakeholders to expected standards
• Continuously monitor and evaluate all aspects of implementation, including risk and contingency management, benefits realisation, project impact and quality measures, to address issues, assess progress and effectiveness, and achieve project outcomes
• Maintain awareness of relevant issues, policy obligations, insights, challenges, industry trends and practices and opportunities to recommend innovative solutions that optimise outcomes and contribute to a best practice governance function in line with organisational and government priorities

You Must Have:

• Significant experience supporting or managing the successful implementation and maintenance of an ISMS
• Experience with the Federal ASD Information Security Manual (ISM)
• Well versed in the requirements for accreditation to ISO 27001
• Significant experience of ICT Governance in medium to large enterprises
• Desirable - a recognised professional ICT Governance accreditation
