Senior Architect required to lead a team of up to 10 people and provide strategic direction for the technologies and services provided within the Platform Infrastructure domain.

This role will have a particular focus on Azure cloud identity services. In addition to technical ability, the role will also require plans of intent to continue to build out a large program of work. The role operates in a complex technology environment that has a mix of legacy and strategic systems in place.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide management and leadership of the Platform Infrastructure team of architects and engineers.

Review design artefacts developed by suppliers to ensure alignment of strategy and architecture with a focus on reuse of established blueprints and reduction of technical debt.

Lead the development and planning to address the technology project and program delivery requirements, and enable the design, build and delivery of end-to-end solutions.

Take a lead role in the analysis and selection of preferred platforms, products, solutions and standards.

Participate in the shaping of roadmaps, solution architectures, blueprints and external portfolio strategies.

Experience required

Prior experience in a position of leadership is required

Deep architecture and technical understanding of Microsoft Azure services, especially Azure Active Directory, Azure Directory Services, MFA, AAD Connect, Azure IaaS, PaaS.

Extensive knowledge of identity management and access control technology and concepts

Demonstrated knowledge of service management and integration architecture.

Comprehensive knowledge of modern protocols used in cloud based authentication and authorisation and experience providing SME guidance to infrastructure and application teams

Strong stakeholder management will be required to present various strategies to secure approval at governance bodies.
