Responsibilities
The purpose of this role is to lead a project team to incorporate the development and integration of a range of business systems into one consolidated system environment. The PM will provide efficient and timely project management methodologies, structures and project leadership to initiate the implementation, while working with a team of subject matter experts in the science-research space.


Role

  • Provide guidance, structure and methodology to implement CRISP Project
  • Lead project planning sessions and guide the development of business process, review existing business process and ensure implementation of new IT Systems are aligned to business process.
  • Successful project delivery of time-critical project
  • Multi-task and manage various project elements simultaneously
  • Achieve credibility and engagement with stakeholders

Key areas of role

Lead Business Project through Initiation, Design, Build, Test, Implement and Close. Work with all parts of the organisation to drive the implementation of the project and its defined road map of projects. Initially the execution of Phase one with RIMS and User Portal Functionality. Strong business process identification and mapping to IT solutions and systems will be required to define the business rules and usage across the wider organisation.



Experience required

  • Proficiency with PMBOK or Prince2 Methodologies
  • Qualifications in either of the above methodologies
  • Ability to listen to highly-specialised expertise
  • Experience working in an organisation for dedicated scientific and research purposes
  • Successful project delivery in such organisations
  • Experience working in the Government environment with tight deadlines
  • Ability to use good project practices to ensure there is always a comprehensive view of the plan and progress against this plan
  • Expert use of Microsoft Project
  • Ability to be comfortable in presenting project status, milestones and to be challenged against these
  • Apply a systematic approach towards defining future actions, accountability's and deadlines, plus tracking progress of deliverable work
  • Ability to find consensus within key stakeholders from teams across the business that may or may not be aware of the Project - Drive out an aligned position on the initiatives and potentially manage as well as prioritise conflicts
