Our client a large Federal Government Department is looking for an experienced project manager to implement a software development work plan for one of their large complex programs of work.

The project manager will:

• lead a small development team to maintain and enhance the application suite
• work closely with business users to translate business requirements into accurate and timely software improvements
• prepare detailed work plans, manage software delivery schedule, JIRA workflows, resolve technical issues to ensure timely completion of agreed tasks, including providing weekly updates to senior management
• liaise with the Department's ICT group who are delivering a new cloud-based platform, and ensure it complies with the Department's business application standards and ICT policies. This role will suit an experienced project manager with experience in scientific computing and program delivery.

This is an initial 12 month contract with an option to extend for a further 12 months beyond that. The successful candidate will need to have a Baseline security clearance.
