IT Infrastructure Manager

Seeking an Infrastructure Manager experienced in industrial control systems, servers, SAN storage, HyperV, SQL server, network switches and firewalls.

Key Objectives
Program and Project Management

• Action user access requests, ensuring correct permissions granted
• Ensure servers/workstations are patched to the latest approved versions (as certified by software vendor Schneider Electric) for Microsoft products and the ADMS application
• Ensure all anti-virus and security patches are up to date
• Ensure configuration data is stored and maintained in the Configuration Management System
• Ensure patches and databases are consistent across environments
• Install, configure and maintain OT network infrastructure
• Triage and assist with the raising of Jira issues
• Monitor the health (including performance and capacity) of all infrastructure in the various environments
• Monitor for any security issues and resolve any issues detected
• Troubleshoot and resolve OS and infrastructure management software issues

Special Skills and Knowledge

Knowledge of current and recent Windows workstation and server operating systems including Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DFS and understanding of following;

• virtual environments (Hyper V preferred)
• Microsoft SCOM & SCCM 2007 R2
• Microsoft SQL Server
• Microsoft IIS
• Anti Virus systems (Windows Defender)
• Network switches and firewalls

Specific Role Requirements

• Degree in IT or a related discipline and/or an equivalent level of skills, certifications or knowledge gained through experience
• Minimum 5 years' experience in implementing new OT/IT technology and support in a complex OT/IT environment
• Experience managing and maintaining operational Real Time systems and critical infrastructure
• Proven problem-solving skills
• Proven ability to prioritise problems
• Proven ability to learn and adapt to new technical environments
